Overnight oats have become my go-to quick breakfast! They’re so simple and involve no prep time in the morning. They’re great for on the go or when you want to hit snooze a few more times and don't have time to make breakfast.
Simply put 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, 1 scoop of yogurt, 1/2 scoop protein powder (optional), and 1/2 cup milk into a jar or container before bed and stir/shake to combine. Refrigerate overnight and enjoy cold or microwaved in the morning.
There are so many ways to change up the flavor combinations and make the recipe your own. Berries or other in-season fruits are a great addition. To add sweetness, add cinnamon, honey, agave, peanut butter, or anything your heart desires!
Here is our favorite seasonal variety:
Pumpkin Spice Overnight Oats
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/2 cup milk (I used dairy milk but almond and soy are good too)
1/4 cup canned pumpkin
1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
Sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
At night, place all ingredients in a jar or small container.
Stir or shake and refrigerate.
Enjoy in the morning cold or heat in the microwave for 1 min, 30 sec.
