Two of my favorite foods in the world….. chocolate and avocado. Surprise yourself and guests with this creamy, mouthwatering treat. I love this recipe because of the minimal ingredients, decadent flavor, and easy prep. It can be made ahead of time and it is the perfect spread for toast!
Decadent Chocolate-Avocado Mousse
½ cup semisweet Delysia chocolate chips
4 very ripe avocados (8 oz), peeled and pitted
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ tablespoon Black Lava Sea Salt
Fresh raspberries and mint sprigs for garnish
Place the chocolate chips in a small bowl. Place over a small saucepan of barely simmering water. Stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth, about 3 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
Place the melted chocolate, avocados, cocoa powder, almond milk, and salt in a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping the sides of the bowl as needed. Spoon into glasses and refrigerate for at least 3 hours (can be prepared 1 day in advance). Top with a dash of Black Lava Sea Salt and garnish with fresh raspberries, mint sprig and serve.
